Interesting that that worked out for you. The numbers are there sequentially. 20, 21, 22, etc. 293 and 031 are indeed the correct answers.

but not because of addition, simply because of counting up, following the pattern to its next evolution
20 - 2,1 - 22, - 23 - 2,4 - 25, - 26 - 2,7 - 28, - 29 - 3,0 - 31

My guess is 292 and 021. Not using any math, but by lining up the numbers vertically (left-most number of top going down with right-most at the bottom), and then finding a neat, double-helix-like pattern.
